Atmosphere: the outdoor patio is a vibe. It's so beautiful to look at the detailed architecture. It has such a European flare to it which is so pretty. This would be a great place for a romantic dinner as well. We arrived at 5pm and it was shady and cool the whole day which was such a relief bc I was scared it'd be too hot.
Food: first of all, the presentation is amazing. Perfect for instagram photos! To make it better, the food is delicious. (FYI--If you order fish and you're sitting in the patio there will be lots of flies until they take that plate away).
Service: our waiter Salamon was very quick and attentive. The food came out quickly although we didn't order exactly at the same time, they managed to give all of our food at the same time. We didn't have to ask for anything because he was so on it. -

My husband and I celebrated our 32 year anniversary last night at the Mission Inn Spanish Patio(my favorite). We had plans to dine at Duane's Steakhouse, but, with no reservations, we were informed it was 3 hour wait; we opted to wait for a table at the Spanish Patio.
We were happy to have waited less than the time hostess told us. The patio was not crowded and the night was clear; good temperature for an August night.
Our waiter, Gerardo was attentive and superb!
The appetizer was our always loved calamari fritti cooked to perfection.
The NY steak was cooked marvelously with a seared crunchy outside and juicy medium well inside. This 14 oz piece of meat was split with my husband! The steak had a piece of butter on top! The vegetables and a side of mushrooms were a good side. We all need veggies
Our bottle of Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon complemented the mood.
My love affair with Tiramisu could not be dismissed. I took half home- my husband also took his beloved bread pudding home half eaten! Coffe was tasteful and hot.
Very fun evening!! We are on our way to our next 32 years together!! -

I love this place! I have gone here for their brunch before and had a great experience.
This was the first time coming to the Mission Inn Restaurant for dinner and I was super excited. I was staying at the Mission Inn Hotel and after taking a look at the menu online we decided to head downstairs for dinner.
We sat outside and it was such a nice cool night, it was just perfect. I ordered an Old Fashioned and the calamari for the table. They also provide bread and butter.
The calamari was a little overly salted for me but it was still pretty good.
I took a look at the menu and decided I wanted to try the Pan Seared Salmon. My other half ordered the rotisserie chicken with asparagus and veggies.
The service was awesome and our food came out quick and hot!
The salmon was cooked to perfection and the top layer was crunchy and full of flavor. The salmon itself was super moist and delicious. The rice was great as well and my favorite was the zucchini.
I can't wait to come back to this location again! -

Stopped in yesterday just for tea and to gawk at the architecture again. Smack in the center of a so-so downtown is this patch of pure splendor - even more beautiful than I'd remembered. Nice service too.

A fine place to have a fancier lunch. We were in the mood for some sandwiches so this was the perfect place. There is indoor seating but we sat outdoors because it was such a pretty day. And the patio is much more beautiful. There is a large fountain in the middle of the patio and you are surrounded on all sides by the majestic mission.
We were given bread and butter on arrival and it was very good. Freshly baked! We soon put in our orders for a salmon burger and the chicken sandwich. We asked to have the sandwiches cut in half so we could easily share it. Regular fries or sweet potatoe fries were the same price and included as a side so we both ordered the sweet potatoe fries.
The food came out very quickly and it was delicious! The fries were amazing and the sandwiches were pretty good too. Nothing special taste wise, but still pretty good! The great part was that the cook cut eat sandwich in half and place one half of each sandwich on a plate with the fries. It was very thoughtful of them!
I would love to visit this restaurant again soon!
